About the hotel: Hotel-restaurant “Makrelov” is opened in 1993 and is the first private family hotel in The Rhodopes’ region. The hotel is the first and the only one for now in Smolyan, built exclusively with energy efficient and energy saving materials and systems. We own Energy Efficiency Certificate class “A”, which puts us among the pioneers in using now-a-day technologies for reducing energy consumption and protecting the environment in Bulgaria.

Accommodation: The hotel offers 23 double rooms (three with double bed, 19 with additional sofa-bed), 1 Apartment, 1 V.I.P. Apartment. All rooms are equiped with Electronic and Internet access, Electronic Fire Alarm and Announcing systems, cable TV, mini-refrigerator, baths with shower cabin, hair-dryer, telephone, panic cord. Terraces have a unique panoramic view to the city and The Rhodopes.

Dining: The restaurant has 60 places and offers nice and elegant atmosphere for business meetings, friendly gatherings and special occasions. You can enjoy Rhodopes’ region specialties, Traditional Bulgarian and European cuisine. And in the bar you will find great variety of quality hot and cold drinks. Duet “Phenomenon” will attend to the comfort of your good spirits and the qualified personnel will assist for your unforgettable stay.

Hotel facilities: The hotel has a large guarded parking lot and conference hall with 50 seats, internet access and sound equipment – suitable for seminars, team-building programs and private enterprises. Forthcoming is a sports centre with sauna, Jacuzzi, fitness hall, massage and bicycles. You can use table-tennis equipment. For those who wish we organize excursions to the close nature and architectural landmarks, as well as transportation to the ski slopes of Pamporovo winter resort.
